Everyone can take in however they want, as some make think of it from a philosophical perspective, and have other think of actual video or board games. I will try to analyze which are the ‘games to win’ from different perspectives and try to figure out its hidden meaning and if we have games to win.

First, most of us play different games to win them, because let us face it; we do not like losing games. Whether it is your school soccer team game or a casual meeting between friends at a classic monopoly game, we all play these games to win, whenever possible. Competition has proved to be undoubtedly one of the best ways to improve oneself and games are a perfect way to do that. Wanting to overcome your opponent or your friends can be viewed as a good thing, as wanting to become better is the first step of becoming a more evolved human being, by learning new skills and improving them. Nevertheless, in these ‘games to win’, some may exaggerate and try to win the games in every way possible, and this is where competition is taken to a different level, the level of obsession. Nobody likes a sore loser, so if you are bound to lose do not try to cheat, you are just cheating yourself. The games to win are important, but acknowledging defeat is important as well.

Another perspective you can view ‘games to win’ is that choosing your battles carefully can lead you to the desired results. Games to win may refer to the actual games you should win, meaning you will not compete with a professional because you are bound to lose and not learn anything; these will not be games to win. Trying to compete against people your own level is highly recommended, as the chances of winning are higher, and subsequently you will earn more experience and knowledge you can use later on. Knowing where your place is and being assure of your own level is very important, as it can give you a clear vision on what you should improve at yourself and which skills should you work on. Games to win are surely those in which you face a well-matched opponent.

Last but no least, if we are talking about actual board games or video games, I can say these are a great way to spend your free time on. I recommend logical games that actually challenge both you and your friends, because these games are the best ones for both improving and having fun and of course, they are games to win. Seriously, now games in which you kill whatever you catch will surely not help you in life, unless you are planning to become a serial killer. That is why games that put you up for a challenge are the best choice and winning them will surely give you a higher feeling of satisfaction, making these the desired games to win.

To sum up, the games to win are clearly up to us. Whether we are talking about the metaphorical games, we practice everyday at work and such, or just about real video or board games, winning them should be a priority. Try to fight for winning these so called games but do not exaggerate, as pushing it to an obsession is not desired.
